Kid Stuff - Winter/Spring
Make a Winter Splash Reading Club @ the Library Children from Preschool - Grade 9 can join our Winter Reading Club from March 1st - April 16th. Come into the library to receive your reading sheet and then read up to 5 books and receive a prize (All books should be their own library choices). We will have a display in the Children’s Room of the children’s artwork for the first book they read. After reading just one book and drawing a picture or writing about their library book choice, children will will be invited to our Make a Splash Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, April 20th at 2PM. BEDTIME STORY FUN: PLAYING IN THE SNOW: Come to the library on Tuesday, March 2nd at 6:30PM and tell us what you like to do in the snow. Put on your warm pajamas, gather up a favorite teddy or a blanket and listen to stories about playing in the snow. This is a storytime for children ages 2 & up accompanied by an adult. Snowy stories, snowy songs, and a snowy craft are planned for toddlers and preschoolers. Registration is required in person or by phone.

Terrific Two’s, a storytime for two-year-old children, will be held on Wednesdays, March 3rd through March 31st at 10:45-11:15am. Children, accompanied by an adult, will be introduced to the library through stories, songs, and crafts.Registration is required and begins February 22nd by phone, or in person at the library . This activity is for the residents of North Tonawanda, Wheatfield, and Pendleton.
Children 9 to 23 months are invited to Baby Time on Wednesdays, March 3rd through March 31st from 9:45 to 10:15am. Children will be introduced to books, fingerplays, crafts, and socializing. Come with your children to the library and share the joys of reading.Registration is required and begins February 22nd by phone or in person at the library . This activity is for the residents of North Tonawanda, Wheatfield, and Pendleton.

AFTER SCHOOL FUN CLUB -HI FLY GUY- Join us on Thursday, March 11th from
4:00- 5:00 pm as we Meet Buzz and his pet Fly Guy. Bring a picture of your pet or a pet you would like to own. Make your own Fly Guy. This program is for children inGrades K-3. Registration is required in person or by phone.
Meet therapy dog, Sandy, for Read to the Dogs. Children in Grades 1-6 may practice their reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a certified therapy dog. This is a great opportunity for children who are reluctant readers, reluctant about dogs, or just love to read and be with our friend, Sandy!
Join Sandy and her handler at the library on SUNDAY, MARCH 14TH AND SATURDAY, MARCHY 27TH from 2-4:30 P.M . This time includes a flexible 15-minute break for Sandy.You may sign up for a 15-minute session by calling the library.
AMERICAN GIRL’S CLUB MORE FUN WITH ADDY-Join us on Thursday, March 18th from
4-5:15. Enjoy another month of activities and crafts about Addy and the 1860’s. Make an appliqué picture.For children in grades 2 & up. Bring something for show and tell, such as your American Girl doll, any other doll or something special to you. Enjoy an hour of activities, crafts, and games about the American Girls. Registration is required in person or by phone. Open to children who live in North Tonawanda, Pendleton, or Wheatfield.

Easter Craft Day- On Saturday, March 27th children are invited to the Children’s Room anytime between 10am and 4pm to make an Easter craft. Children 4 and under may need a parent’s help. No registraion in needed. For additional information please call or visit in person.
SPRINGTIME CONCERT for all ages on MONDAY, MARCH 29TH from 7:00 - 8:00 P.M. We heartily welcome back EVERGREEN to entertain us with an evening of spring and Easter music and sing-alongs. No registration necessary. All programs sponsored by the Friends of the North Tonawanda Public Library. For more information, call the library. There will be a special appearance by THE EASTER BUNNY! Our Friend, Karl M. Kindt III, North Tonawanda's Visiting Knight in Shining Armor made a special visit to the library over the Thankgiving Break. He donated some very special books to our collection. His website is www.knightforhire.com. It contains information about his programs and also some of the stories that he told while he visited the library.
Children must be residents of North Tonawanda, Wheatfield, or Pendleton for any programs that require registration. All other programs are free and open to the public.
