Local Newspapers
As part of our local history collection, the Library maintains a historic newspaper collection for the North Tonawanda area. Except for the most recent issues, access to these newspapers is available on microfilm. Copies are $.15 per page. The Library owns:
- Tonawanda Herald:
Weekly edition – April 7, 1877 to Dec. 28, 1882
March 1, 1883 to Dec.28, 1889 - Tonawanda Herald:
Daily edition – July 2, 1890 to Dec. 29, 1890 - North Tonawanda Daily News: April 1, 1880 to Sept. 30, 1885
Tonawanda (Evening) News: July 26, 1883 – current - We DO NOT have the Buffalo News on Microfilm. We save print copies for three months.
